About the before-and-after photos

Are these before-and-after photos from real jobs?

Yes. Every pair is from our own work in Nottingham and the surrounding towns, filmed on the GoPro on the end of the SkyVac pole. No stock photos and nothing staged. How dramatic the difference looks depends on how long the gutter had been left.

Do you edit the photos?

No. They are frames from the GoPro footage, cropped to fit the page. The after shot is the gutter as we left it, which is why you can sometimes still see algae staining on the gutter wall — that is marking, not debris, and it fades with a few weeks of rain.

Will I get photos of my own gutters?

Yes, on every job. The GoPro films every run before we start and after we finish, and we send you both the same day, easiest by WhatsApp. It is included in the price, and it is a dated record you can keep for a landlord file, an insurer or a house sale.

Will my property appear in this gallery?

Only if you say so. Footage is private by default and goes to you alone. If you are happy for a job to appear here or on your area page we ask first, use the street rather than the house number, and take it down if you ever change your mind.

How do you film at height or over a conservatory?

The camera is on the SkyVac pole, so it goes wherever the vacuum head goes — up to four storeys, over conservatory glass, behind chimneys — while we stay on the ground. No ladders against the wall and nothing resting on the roof.

The after shot is clear but the fascia still looks stained. Do you clean that?

The gallery shows gutter clears: the inside of the gutter emptied and the flow restored. Green or black marks on the outside of the gutter, the fascia or the soffit need a wash-down, which is a separate job. We will tell you if it needs it; we will not pretend a clean gutter is a clean fascia.
